I am a qualified educator and hold a degree in Vocational Education from the University of Technology Sydney, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In addition, I am enrolled in the Master of Teaching in Secondary Education at Western Sydney University and will finish in 2021.

 

To compliment my qualifications in advertising and graphic design from TAFE NSW, in 2018 I gained a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from RMIT University with a distinction in Research and Planning.

 

Over the past 6 years I have been directly responsible for the training and development of over 300 graphic design students, with many gaining entry into the workforce at junior level and second tier positions as graphic designers in branding, advertising, printing and marketing firms. 

 

As teacher and educator, I have been instrumental in helping people gain the knowledge necessary to either make a life change or begin their new careers.

 

My training method and style of teaching includes storytelling, demonstrations, experimentation as well as one-on-one tuition in small classroom environments of 6 to 16 students.

 

I use slide projection, video instruction as well as hand-outs and work samples to teach students what they need to learn.

 

I invite guest speakers, colleagues and professionals from AGDA to help deliver the message to the students as I train them with the essential knowledge in graphic design.

 

The challenge is to keep them enthused in the beautiful art of visual communication.
